Taking A Stand

OK, I need to take action now. And, by action, I mean inaction.
I’ve put off this JET essay for about four weeks now. Every time I open up Word and set out to write it, I come up with a new excuse. “Oh, I don’t know how to start this.” “I need to go to the gym.” “Texas Tech is playing Nebraska on ESPN, how can I write an essay with that going on?” “How many chances will I have to see W in theaters?”
No more. No more excuses, except maybe seeing that new Kevin Smith movie tomorrow (yeah Halloween all by myself = ( ). To actually motivate me, I’m imposing a sort-of probation on blogging until I finish (or, more accurately, start and finish) my paper. When I finish a draft, I’ll go back to doing something I truly enjoy – blogging about eating burgers and standing near Joey Porter. All when I’m done.
